What if I have Dial-Up Internet?

With some modern VOIP technologies, many users now report having excellent telephone service using VOIP over dial-up connections, assuming that the dial-up connection is fast and stable. Apparently, this is done to multi-task a single phone line.

Presumably, using VOIP over a dial-up connection will have a severe impact upon the bandwidth available for other uses. To use VOIP over a dial-up connection, make sure that the VOIP plan you choose allows you to use your phone from any Internet connection, because it will appear to the VOIP service that you are using a different connection every time you dial up your Internet connection.
